From the original hand blocks used for Hazelton House, to Korla and Paper Mills’ contemporary hand painted designs and Borderline’s impressive archive of antique global textiles, Rosebank Fabrics offer something different.
Rosebank, established in 1881, has created diverse ranges of fabrics and wallcoverings for over 120 years after it moved to Rosebank Printworks in 1896. Our founders saw mechanisation as a means of collaboration that could bring textiles of artistic merit to a wider public. A lot has changed since the Industrial Revolution; however, Rosebank's traditional values remain. To differentiate through design, bring art into industry and therefore create something more than the ordinary.
During Rosebank's proud history it has accumulated, and is able to draw upon, a vast archive of designs. As custodians of the craft it is Rosebank's task to draw inspiration from these classic designs, yet reimagine them for modern-day demands. The archive reflects the evolution 150 years' of design; representing cutting edge stylistic trends of the post-industrial period. The craftsmanship comes in the form of reviving these designs and applying the appropriate colouring and base cloth for today's taste.
